Basic Information
The Proximity Mine is a simple device. Stick it somewhere, and wait for someone to walk by it. A careful player can trip one off and sustain only about 20 points of damage, however coming any closer will usually result in 80 damage or more.
Goldeneye Source Note:
Until the "rolling explosions" effect is implemented, explosives will deal significantly larger amounts of damage, to offset the fact that players won't be struck by both blast and fire effects.
