Basic Information
Named after the original Goldeneye development team member, Ken Lobb, the Klobb in GoldenEye seems to be an insult rather than an honor. It sprays like a shotgun, fires its low-capacity clip at a slow rate, despite the high-tempo sound it makes, and when it does strike, the Klobb barely does more than half the damage any other submachinegun or pistol delivers. Being such an anti-weapon, some players make a house rule that a player who kills with the Klobb earns an extra point. The real life counterpart to the Klobb is the Vz-61 Skorpion, a Czech submachine gun.
It is a little strange for the developers to make this gun so worthless where in real life it does have it's place. The real Skorpion has a very high rate of fire at 850 rd/sec, which if were applied in the game would make the magazine expire quickly but make it highly lethal if you could place all those rounds. The caliber is in fact very small in real world terms but is far from ineffective, especially at a high ROF with a relatively controllable recoil.
