Basic Information
The gun is loud, shiny, and intimidating, but little else. It is not as accurate as it's sister pistol, the PP7, and especially so while firing on the move. It's one positive point is the additional bullet, but that advantage is lost at longer range or while moving.

Weapon Origin
There is a small amount of controversy regarding what weapon the Dostovei is modeled after. Judging by the Goldeneye feature-film, the Makarov PM seems to be the most likely candidate the gun is modeled after. But referencing the original Nintendo-64 console title, the Dostovei is a closer resemblance to the TT-33. Considering Goldeneye: Source is a conversion of the video game, a weapon modeled after the TT-33 seems most appropriate.
