Crack The Code is a proposed Team Gameplay for 2 players and up.

- MI6 and Janus are the opposing teams. They have bases and spawn at different sides of the map (like most Capture the Flag gametypes).
- Both bases contain computers
- A computer in the middle of the gamemap in a neutral area is "Boris's Computer"
- A randomly generated codeword, of the same number of letters (we'll say 8) is generated for each team from a text file on the server. Text file should contain thousands of words to ensure fresh gameplay.
- The server breaks up each password into pieces and assigns an even piece to each team member. The remainder is randomly given out to team members.
- Each team member carries an encrypted piece of their team's password (which we'll call a lector in this proposal). If they are killed, a member of the opposing team can grab the lector. If he can take it to his team's computer and "capture" it, part of the codephrase is permanently revealed in its correct position in the word (ala Hangman/"Wheel of Fortune"). If a member of the same team touches the lector at any time, it is returned to its original owner.
- A significant number of points are given for capturing a lector.
There are no restrictions on attacks/weapons available when holding a lector. - If a player disconnects/goes to a spectator/switches teams, his or her lector's letters are automatically revealed for the other team, but no points are granted.
- The goal of the gametype is to enter the other team's password on Boris's computer, which wins the game (destroying their base and sparing yours). This nets a massive number of points.
- If you unsuccessfully guess the password on Boris's computer, you die, and get -1 point (ala suicide).
- A player obviously cannot attack when guessing the password.
- Both bases are set to explode after a time limit is reached, and both teams get negative points if no one "cracks the code". This is discourage people from hiding and camping somewhere.
